About the role

We are expanding our Privacy, Transparency and Ethics (PTE) team and are currently looking for a Principal Business & Operational Delivery Manager  to work with our team.

PTE plays a crucial role in delivering data protection, confidentiality, and transparency across the organisation, and in supporting improving access to data across our health and care system; how data can save lives and the importance of engaging people and being open about how their information is being used. 

This role will be an integral member of the PTE team; using their experience in operational and business management to ensure that the PTE function has effective business models and processes in place to give assurance to the Executive Director of PTE that all business functions including finance and resource management, PTE initiatives, operational delivery, risk management and management reporting are optimised. 

About you

You will be required to line manage several individual and teams within PTE and will be responsible for the effective delivery of their objectives.

You will be the contact point and liaise with the Finance, HR  & ARM functions, working with them in partnership to develop, design, and ensure compliance with robust portfolio management processes and standards,  leading and co-ordinating financial business planning and on the maintenance of the PTE Target Staffing Model and resourcing/recruitment drives. You will also support the PTE Chief of Staff in the delivery of key documentation to committees, key corporate publications and returns.

You will play a key role in supporting the Executive Director to ensure that they have the right oversight of system performance and service transformation across the function and will be responsible for the development and production of key management information that will be shared at EMT/Board level.   This will also include you working with the PTE SLT in identifying PTE initiatives and transformation programmes of work; taking responsibility for their delivery, working with the PTE SLT on SMART and realistic timescales as well as obtaining the correct funding and resourcing requirements to support their success.
