About The Role

This role sits within the Core Infrastructure Management Office who provide a range of Business and Project Management Office Support to an organisation of almost 100 people in the Core Infrastructure Services sub directorate. Core Infrastructure Services provides support to the underlying infrastructure that allows the NHS to communicate, dealing with problems and ensuring it is developed for the future

NHS Digitals Business and Operational Delivery (B&OD) profession ensures that customers get the services they need, delivered in the most effective and efficient ways possible to agreed quality standards, in order to reduce burden and increase value-added activity.

As a Principal Business and Operational Delivery Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • providing executive support to senior personnel and work as a senior member of a team of administrators providing the following services:
          - Resourcing and recruitment
          - Processing of payments
          - Other administrative and programme support tasks
  • handling multiple sources of information and producing a range of products and services to ensure robust and effective service delivery to internal customers across a business and operational delivery area of NHS Digital.
  • ensuring relevant quality and other service standards are met in a demanding and complex environment.
  • operating with a significant degree of autonomy and will be able to prioritise their own and their team’s work in order to meet organisational business objectives and key performance indicators.

About You

Some of the key skills and experience you'll bring:  

  • Knowledge of effective risk and issues management, planning, and benefits realisation techniques in a complex work environment.
  • Proven ability working with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs, providing effective consultancy, direction and advice to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate information.
  • Experience of managing multiple operational, service improvement or project workstreams in an efficient, effective and in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to perform line management duties of employees in their immediate management, such as performance management, effective supervision etc.
  • Advanced level user of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook) e.g. European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent experience.
  • Educated to post graduate level/ Apprenticeship level 5/6 or equivalent experience.
