Working closely with your Senior HR Business Partner as part of our HR team, you will focus on creating a purposeful connection between the business and HR. You will offer HR insight across a full range of HR activity including attraction, resourcing, change, leadership, development, employee relations, engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing.

This role is being recruited on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
 

As a HR Business Partner – Business Partnering you will be responsible for:

  • acting as a Subject Matter Expert, providing HR expertise and specialist advice across your business areas on a range of people activities.
  • taking the lead on complex employee relations cases.
  • supporting and the HR team and senior stakeholders in the implementation of the people plan ambitions.
  • acting as the link between your business area and the wider HR teams including the Centres of Excellence, Recruitment and Resourcing and others in relation to the delivery of people activities.
  • supporting the Directorate Management Teams to discharge their responsibilities and oversee the implementation and delivery of their people priorities.
  • informing and influencing HR and people activities using evidence-based approach, utilising data and analytics to support decision making.

About you

Some of the key skills and experience you'll bring:  

  • Post graduate degree/diploma or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • MCIPD or willing to work towards it with demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge already gained through experience.
  • Technical expertise and significant experience across the full range of HR and Organisational Capability and Development disciplines.
  • Experience of providing HR expertise in a large and complex organisation, delivering through others both inside and outside the function.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to communicate highly complex employment related policy and legal issues to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  •  Experience of working with multiple internal stakeholders, including HR colleagues such as the Centres of Excellence and other key business functions such as finance, commercial and legal.
